To help the brethren in the Local Congregation of F. Manalo-San Juan in San Juan City, Philippines understand better the threat that the Delta variant of Covid-19 brings, the Metro Manila East chapter of the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) held a Delta Variant Awareness webinar on August 15, 2021. Erman Fandialan, neurologist and the CMDPS district president, served as the keynote speaker.

“The Delta variant of Covid-19 is much more transmissible than its original strain,” he said. During the seminar, which the brethren witnessed through videoconferencing, he detailed the effects of Delta variant to the vaccinated as well as to the unvaccinated, including children.

The district supervising minister, Brother Gerino Lalata, who also attended the webinar said that acquiring such knowledge is timely. “Being in good health brings about one’s fortitude, harmony with the family, peace of the mind, and most of all, enables us to peacefully serve the Almighty God,” he further said.

“As an individual who has to travel to work everyday, this online seminar is a great help for me so that I could be extra careful not only for myself but also for the sake of those around me,” said Sheila Casas, a Church officer.

Having learned a lot from the webinar, Ricardo Eusebio, head deacon, expressed his thankfulness to the Church administration for such an activity. “We are thankful to the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo. He truly looks after our welfare.” — With reports from INC News Section
