Guests, doctrinal instructees, and prospective members joined Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) families from the Local Congregation of Riverbend, Alberta, in the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary, Canada in games of basketball and volleyball on May 8, 2022.

The Christian Family Organizations (CFO) local leadership organized and supervised the sports activity, which took place at the Junior Varsity Training Centre along Smed Lane, Calgary, Canada.

Andreana Tecson, KADIWA congregation president, explained that aside from their health benefits, “These kinds of activities are important to strengthen the brotherhood of our organization and is also a way to share our faith with our friends and loved ones.”

“I can see that it shows unity, sportsmanship, and I feel the sense of belongingness,” remarked one of the players, Anna Miranda. “Even from the small kids to adults, I can see how the brethren treasured the love for the Christian brotherhood inside the Church Of Christ,” added the former Seventh-Day Adventist now undergoing instruction in Bible doctrines in the Church.

“We have been cooped up in our household for quite a while since the pandemic. This activity launched by the Church Administration bonded the brethren and their family to give each of us strength, physically and spiritually, to continue our services to our Almighty God,” said Rommel Tiratira, head deacon. — With reports from INC News Section
