To foster health awareness among the brethren and bring together families in the Ecclesiastical District of Alaska, the district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) leadership launched “Family Fitness Workshop.” The activity was held on April 3, 2022, with Buklod, KADIWA, and Binhi members from the Local Congregation of Anchorage gathered at the function hall of their house of worship.

Through videoconferencing, brethren from other local congregations in the district also joined the exercise activity from the comfort of their homes.

Paul Dasalla, a fitness enthusiast and a Buklod member from Anchorage Congregation, led the activity. Following his lead, the brethren did a series of exercises including lunges, pushups, squats, burpees, and side planks.

“Keeping our body healthy and strong benefits us in our everyday life,” Paul said, “more so in performing our Church duties.”  — With reports from INC News Section
