Getting inspiration from the backyard gardening project launched by the Church Administration, the brethren from the Local Congregation of Wyndham, Victoria in the Ecclesiastical District of Australia West learned, through a video presentation, about outdoor and indoor gardening. The activity was held on October 17, 2021.
Buklod, KADIWA, and Binhi members watched together the video presentation from their respective homes.
Brethren in Wyndham learned from other members of the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) who participated and have already benefited from the project. They attentively watched the video wherein those who have already gained gardening experience and skills shared tips on planting seeds, maintaining the garden, as well as harvesting crops.
The brethren were also taught with various ways on how to grow vegetables and fruits without harsh chemicals to promote healthy eating and cost-effectivity. The speakers also showed the brethren in Wyndham their own outdoor and indoor gardens.
It is hoped that the activity will inspire more families in Wyndham to try their hand in backyard gardening as it is something that is for everyone. As it was shown in the activity, not only does the project give the brethren an alternate food source that’s both healthy and economical, gardening also is an avenue to destress. ― With reports from INC News Section
