The local congregations of Firenze and Rome, Italy in the Ecclesiastical District of Italy South, on January 23, 2022 jointly held Buklod Night, a formal get-together for married members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) held annually.

From their homes, the married brethren from the said congregations gathered in one virtual room through videoconferencing and had the chance to enjoy together the program prepared for them.

The couples sat before their dinner table they themselves prepared. Though they were at home, the couples wore their best clothes and even made suitable decorations to create an intimate atmosphere. The evening was made more romantic by the husbands’ giving their wives some sweet surprise in the form of fresh flowers.

KADIWA and Binhi members from both local congregations serenaded the couples with original Iglesia Ni Cristo Music. Other performers played the  guitar, piano, and flute among others to the delight of the attendees. Buklod officers from both local congregations planned and implemented the activity’s proceedings with the guidance of the district overseer of the Christian Family Organization (CFO), Brother Michael Pineda.

Bernie Salvador, a deacon from the Local Congregation of Rome went on to say, “Through God’s help, we were able to conduct the activity joyfully even though we were in our respective homes. It made a great impact on our relationship as husband and wife. We wholeheartedly thank the Church Administration for an activity like this.” — With reports from INC News Section
