“We are thankful to the Church Administration for granting us permission to have our Buklod Night for the first time here in Mexico City. We’ve been waiting for it for a long time, but it was worth the wait!” Miguel Garcia, head secretary of the Mexico City Congregation, said.

His delight was shared by other Buklod members from the Local Congregation of Mexico City, including those from the Group Worship Service (GWS) of Naucalpan, Villa del Carbon, Mexico, all of which are under the Ecclesiastical District of Latin America, as they found their very first “Buklod Night” delightful and memorable.

The activity was held on December 19, 2021, in an event hall in Avenida Jardin, Azcapotzalco, Mexico. Besides those on-site, the Buklod members from the GWS of Monterrey and Cautitlan Itzcali, both in Mexico and those from the GWS in Honduras, all under the same district, connected to the activity via videoconferencing.

KADIWA, Binhi, and Children’s Worship Service (CWS) as well as some Buklod members performed song numbers for the attendees. Fun games were also facilitated throughout the activity. Later on, the couples received gifts specially prepared for them.

“It is the first time for us, Buklod members, to have this kind of get together. This truly is fun, especially that we are with our brothers and sisters in the faith,” Luis Miguel Medina, GWS overseer of Villa del Carbon, Mexico, said.

“I want to thank our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo for always remembering us in this part of the continent and other congregations in our district. May all the glory be to our Almighty Father Who has blessed us during this world pandemic,” he added. — With reports from INC News Section
