Four neighboring local congregations of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in  Alberta, Canada, namely, Forest Heights, Heritage Park, Spruce Meadows, and Downtown, jointly held Buklod Night on November 27, 2022, at the Carriage House Hotel & Conference Centre along Macleod Trail in the city of Calgary.

Calgary Ecclesiastical District supervising minister, Brother Rolando Gaviola, together with his wife, graced the formal event with their presence. In his opening remarks, he encouraged every husband and wife to fulfill their obligations to each other, in accordance to Bible instruction, to strengthen their marital relationship for their own benefit and that of their families, especially in relation to their divine election.

“We were reminded of our duties and responsibilities as husband and wife: husbands should love their respective wife as they love themselves; wives ought to respect their husbands,” Crisvan Ariola, a Buklod member from Downtown, Alberta Congregation, said.

“We were able to spend quality time with our spouses in this event that truly delighted us,” Marco Maranao, a head deacon from Downtown Congregation, enthused.

The Buklod organization celebrates its 60th anniversary this December.

“With the help of our Lord God, the Church Administration guides us, married members, to be united in activities, such as this Buklod night, that are important to make the husbands’ and wives’ relationship stronger during these trying times,” said Brother Emmanuel Español, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer. — With reports from INC News Section
