A new local congregation of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) was established recently in the United Kingdom, specifically in Wales. The Church Administration approved the establishment of the Local Congregation of Cardiff, bringing the number of INC congregations in Wales to four, the other three being Flintshire, Newport, and Swansea.

On September 24, 2022, Brother Glenn R. Gomez, supervising minister of the Ecclesiastical District of United Kingdom, officiated at the inaugural worship for the congregation in Cardiff.

In the same gathering, the pioneering set of officers took their oath of office.

The historic occasion was held at a rented hall within the Pontprennau Primary School, Heol Pontprennau, Cardiff. Succeeding worship services would transpire at the same venue.

“It’s overwhelming. I feel very blessed because we are now a local congregation, allowing us to all the more expand in this part of the world,” enthused Phillip Dasalla, Children’s Worship Service (CWS) teacher and KADIWA congregation president.

Brethren from Cardiff used to attend worship services at the place of worship of the Local Congregation of Newport, Wales, approximately 15 kilometers away.

Another Church officer, Kenneth Dasalla, explained why the establishment of the local congregation is a welcome development. He said, “When we would invite [our friends and loved ones], they would say Newport is too far. But now, here we have this local congregation in Cardiff, it’s much closer and we have more chances to invite many more in our propagation [of God’s words].”
