“We had so much fun; and hearing each other’s share of struggles during this pandemic and, most importantly, how we carried on with our [Church] duties, has edified me,” said Angelyn Rebuya, a choir member.
She was referring to the “Officers’ Get-Together” activity she attended with fellow Church officers from the Local Congregation of Port Moresby, Ecclesiastical District of Australia West. The activity was held at the function hall of their house of worship on December 5, 2021. Brother Regino Manangan Jr., resident minister, supervised the gathering spearheaded by key officers in the Christian Family Organizations (CFO).
In the activity, talented brethren rendered Iglesia Ni Cristo original music, after which several parlor games were facilitated. On-site, health and safety protocols were observed. Other officers in the congregation who were away on vacation, as many of them are Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), joined the activity via videoconferencing.
Part of the activity was a segment wherein some of the officers shared how they experienced God’s help when they did not give up but continue performing their Church duties in the face of seemingly insurmountable problems brought about by the current pandemic.
On behalf of the officers, Brother Manangan said: “We thank the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, and the CFO Coordinator, Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, for, with their guidance, we were able to conduct happily and safely this activity. This has inspired us to even more unite with the Church Administration to bring glory and honor to our Almighty God.” — With reports from INC News Section
