Two years ago, the northernmost local congregations in the province of Misamis Oriental were organized to form the Ecclesiastical District of Gingoog City. As part of the commemoration of the district’s second anniversary, brethren in the district attended a special gathering held on October 17, 2021.

From the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Gingoog City, Brother Ildefonso Migalang, district supervising minister, officiated the sacred occasion.

His homily was livestreamed to other sites in the district where other brethren also attended.

During the gathering, the brethren expressed thankfulness to the Lord God for His help and guidance to their district through hymns of praises and in their prayers. New officers were also sworn in to become additional helpers of the Church Administration in overseeing the brethren in the district.

“I thank the Lord God for the victories He gave our district. Even if there is a pandemic, I will continue performing my Church duties,” Maichung Dacup, a choir leader, said.

“The brethren are thankful [to God] for this anniversary because it brought inspiration and renewed spiritual fervor. We will strive to be triumphant in the Church activities in our district,” Brother Migalang said.

The Ecclesiastical District of Gingoog City is composed of 26 local congregations, seven of which are in the island of Camiguin, a popular destination in Misamis Oriental. — With reports from INC News Section
