“Whenever a calamity strikes, like this current pandemic situation, the Church Administration led by the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, urgently provides aid,” said Brother Virgilio Rolle, resident minister of the Local Congregation of Gingoog City, Ecclesiastical District of Misamis Oriental, Philippines.
Gingoog City has been put under General Community Quarantine with heightened restrictions to control the spread of Covid-19 especially with the more infectious Delta variant now already in the country. However, the quarantine measures has made many unable to go out and work, and some were even laid off. Knowing the brethren’s situation, the Church Administration approved that an Aid to Humanity be held at the house of worship compound of the Local Congregation of Gingoog City on August 14, 2021.
“First of all, I thank the Almighty God. And I thank our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo Manalo, for looking after us through this prompt aid,” said Azucena Mejares.
On behalf of the congregation, Brother Rolle said, “We thank the Executive Minister because, we may be far from him by distance, but we continuously feel his love and concern for us here, alleviating our plight. Thank you so much.” — With reports from INC News Section
