Church Of Christ members from the Local Congregation of Glan, Ecclesiastical District of General Santos City, South Cotabato participated in a Sign Language seminar on March 28, 2021 held at their house of worship as allowed by existing health protocols in their city.

Brother Romeo Bumalay, district Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) director, led the event.

He said, “Teaching the brethren basic Sign Language skills enable them to show they truly care not only for their fellow brethren but also nonmembers who are deaf.”

Learning basic Sign Language expressions, Brother Aces Sarmiento, a choir member, said, “I thank our Executive Minister for launching activities like this that addresses the needs of our deaf brethren and, most importantly, so we can share God’s teachings to more nonmembers who are deaf.” — With reports from INC News Section
