The continuous growth of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) necessitates more officers. That was why God’s call to tend to the ever-growing flock was highlighted during the special gatherings of Church officers and recruits, which were held at the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Kabankalan City, Bantayan, Sipalay City, and Isabela, all in the Ecclesiastical District of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, Philippines, on September 5, 2023.
Brother Jose Alegros, district Church officers overseer, officiated at Kabankalan City house of worship. He emphasized during his Scripture-inspired preaching that accepting a Church duty is equivalent to receiving a gift or blessing from God. This calling entails dedication but those who responded to such God-given responsibility must not worry for God is the One Who will help them to make it through life’s difficulties.
“We are thankful to the Lord God for always utilizing the Church Administration to address all of the Church’s needs. With His help we’re able to intensify not only the work of propagation but also the addition of more officers who will tend to the growing number of brethren,” Brother Alegros said.
“My faith has been reinvigorated. God’s abiding presence was truly felt during the gathering,” said Arnel Marcon, a head deacon from the Local Congregation of Carabalan, “May He always strengthen me so that I will be able to continue performing my duty no matter what, just as I promised Him.” — With reports from Credenda Balceda of INC News Section
