To reinforce Christian values to members and their guests, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) occasionally holds film showing events that feature Iglesia Ni Cristo talents in movie making.
On February 9, 2020, the Christian Era Broadcasting Service International, Incorporated (CEBSI) Films’ Rendebu (Rendezvous) premiered at École Monseigneur de Laval in the city of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Meanwhile, Guerrero Dos: Tuloy ang Laban (Guerrero II: The Fight Continues) of the Eagle Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) Films had its initial screening at Jubilee Place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on January 26, 2020.
Both events were made possible through the joint efforts of local and district leadership and officers of the Christian Family Organizations (CFO).
According to the brethren who watched Guerrero Dos, they learned many lessons from the comedy-drama film, especially being optimistic during difficult situations and always having faith in God.
Edwin Tristan Dela Cruz, a head deacon from the Local Congregation of Neepawa, said, “[The film] was able to send the important message of trusting in our Almighty God no matter what problems and hardships we encounter in our life.”
He added that the movie reminded him “we’re able to overcome trials in life because of the help of our Almighty God.”
Meanwhile, sharing her experience in watching Rendebu, Madel Malang, Regina Congregation’s KADIWA president, said, “I heard our guests professing positive response after watching the film.” She also stated, “I, myself, am amazed and inspired by the story and admired each of the characters portrayed in the movie.”
According to the brethren who attended, they are looking forward to more film showing events in the future. — With reports from INC News Section.
