The Local Congregation of Hamilton, Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand reached a milestone anniversary last month. Its members celebrated a decade of God’s guidance and blessing to their congregation through a musical program offered for His glory.
The musical which was held online on September 24, 2021 featured original Iglesia Ni Cristo songs performed by selected members of the congregation.
Interviews of pioneer brethren, of how they carried on their faithful services to God, were also shown to the attendees.
“We began as a Group Worship Service (GWS). Brethren then attended worship services in Te Kuiti. Although it is far, it didn’t hinder the brethren from fulfilling their worship of God,” Oriel Cuenco, a Church officer, narrated.
Years after, on September 26, 2011, the GWS in Hamilton was elevated to the status of a local congregation.
“I am joyful because I saw that despite the trials that we went through the local congregation continues to triumph in its endeavors through the help of our Lord God and the unity of the Church officers and brethren,” he added.
Throughout the years, the local congregation has been actively participating in various Church activities such as evangelical missions, socio-civic activities, sporting events, among others.
Expressing the collective promise of the congregation, Brother Jose Fuentes Jr., resident minister, said, that for the glory and honor of God they “will continue to unite with our beloved Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, in all the activities that he is launching in the Church.” — With reports from INC News Section
