A health and fitness expo on November 14, 2021, ramped up the enthusiasm of KADIWA members across the Ecclesiastical District of Australia West.

For the activity, the KADIWA district leadership tapped three Christian Family Organizations (CFO) district sports committee officers to be the resource speakers during the event which was held through videoconferencing. They were Aaron Palouja, a physiotherapist; Erwin Taylor, a personal trainer; and Chenaur Valle, a student nutritionist.

Through question-and-answer format to enliven the discussion, each of the speakers shared with the brethren tips on how to have an active lifestyle, with focus on proper exercise and diet.

“As what everyone says that health is wealth, that is very much true. Though first and foremost, we look upon our spiritual aspect, we look after our health as well,” said Taylor. “This is also important because we know that we need energy in everything we do especially in performing our Church duties. If we cannot keep our body healthy then, we cannot do any of these things [duties to God].”

“The Church Administration allowed us to hold activities like this for it teaches KADIWA members in the district to give importance to our physical health,” said Danfred Varcas, a KADIWA district officer. “It also provides opportunities for KADIWA members to utilize their knowledge to give expert advice to fellow KADIWA brethren, showing the love of Christian brotherhood and also bond in common interest.” ― With reports from INC News Section
