Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members from the Local Congregation of Hertfordshire, Ecclesiastical District of United Kingdom greatly enjoyed an activity dubbed “Parent Appreciation” which was actually for the entire family.
The participating families were interconnected through videoconferencing.
At the start of the activity held on January 10, 2021, the young members invited their parents and siblings to join them for some music and fun games.
Led by the CWS officers, the children then treated their loved ones to inspiring Iglesia Ni Cristo original songs highlighting the importance of praising the Almighty God to which their parents raised them.
This was followed by the fun games where the families had a friendly competition to the delight of everyone. These included baby picture guessing game, a word game called Gibberish Game, a memory game, as well as Kahoot Game.
As the program’s highlight, a video presentation showed the children as well as the CWS officers conveyed gratitude to their parents for their love and care as they read and gave their handcrafted cards.
They thanked their parents for the many deeds they have done, such as helping them with homework, cooking their everyday meals and most especially, for showing them bountiful love and affection everyday. With hugs and kisses, the parents in return expressed how much they are thankful for having them.
One of the CWS officers, Precious Baniqued, said, “I’m thankful to my parents because they have sacrificed much for me and my siblings. They are hardworking, and devoted. I will continue to make them proud and happy.” — With reports from INC News Section
