On September 11, 2022, the Himig ng Kaligtasan (Songs of Salvation)-Buklod Edition in the Ecclesiastical District of Aurora culminated. It was held as part of the activities in line with the 60th anniversary of the Buklod organization this coming December.

Himig ng Kaligtasan is a choral competition organized by the Christian Family Organizations (CFO). Held annually, the competition has become an avenue for brethren from various CFOs to bond through original Iglesia Ni Cristo music.

In the culminating program, eight choral groups made up of Buklod members, each representing a cluster of neighboring local congregations, competed. They were joined by other brethren-spectators from various local congregations in the district at the covered court of the municipality of Dipaculao, Aurora, Philippines.

Out of the eight, the choral group from Baler Cluster was declared champion. The clusters of Maria Aurora A and Maria Aurora B landed 1st runner up and 2nd runner up, respectively. The other clusters represented in the competition were San Luis, Dipaculao, Dilasag, Dinalungan, and Casiguran.

“Participating in this competition will make us more active in fulfilling our duties to our Lord God. We will prove this by further uniting in the activities of our family organization,” Marife Isaguirre, a member of the winning choir and enlisted in the Local Congregation of Baler, enthused. — With reports from INC News Section
