To express their appreciation for the selfless efforts of firefighters in their area, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Honduras Group Worship Service (GWS), Ecclesiastical District of Latin America held a “Dia de los Bomberos” (Firefighters’ Day) on May 29, 2022.

For the activity the brethren, led by Brother Paul Martinez Jr., their resident minister, traveled to the firefighters’ Central Station in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, about 15 kilometers away or half-an-hour-drive from the GWS’s place of worship located at Residencial Las Cascadas, Choloma, Honduras.

The GWS held a simple but fitting program wherein select members performed inspiring Iglesia Ni Cristo original music for the honorees’ enjoyment. Later on, the GWS leadership handed certificates of recognition and gift packages to the firefighters. Most importantly, Brother Martinez introduced the Church Of Christ to them.

Delighted of the brethren’s warming presence, Angie Dominguez, firefighter, said, “We are so honored to have you here. The activity is very inspiring, overwhelming. I felt really emotional while you are all singing. Thank you so much for being here.” — With reports from INC News Section
