On July 7, 2019 Church Of Christ members in Netherlands witnessed the dedication of the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Rotterdam. The historic occasion was led by none other than the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo.
The chapel, which can seat 116 worshipers at any given time, is a newly renovated property. When the Church Of Christ acquired it from the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands back in December 2018, the building was old and a lot of fixing had to be done. Brethren from the Local Congregations of Amsterdam and Hague helped out in the renovation work that lasted for six months.
“Over 50% of the population of Rotterdam are foreign-born, and over 30% are Christian— so the Church Of Christ is humbled and proud to be a home for those who have sought refuge in the Netherlands, and we look forward to meeting more of the local population as well, as our congregation grows in this part of the world,” expressed Brother Romeo M. Marquez, district supervising Minister in Northern Europe.
The new house of worship in Rotterdam is just one of the 79 houses of worship dedicated to God from January up to the first week of July this year. More are seen to follow as the Church Of Christ continues to construct more houses of worship for its growing number of congregations the world over. ― With reports from the INC Public Information Office, photos from INC News and Updates
