Reaping the brethren’s unified works in sharing their faith, hundreds of new Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Laoag City, Ilocos Norte Ecclesiastic District, received baptism on January 29, 2023.

The assistant supervising minister, Brother Bernardino Sabado, officiated at the holy occasion held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Laoag City. Citing the Holy Scriptures, he taught the gathered would-be members, “remaining faithful inside the Church Of Christ by keeping God’s commands and striving to live in holiness at all times will make them worthy to inherit eternal life on Judgment Day.”

“I am happy that I was introduced to the Church. It paved the way for me to better understand the basic teachings upheld in the Church,” enthused one of the newly baptized members, Josephine Rigates, from the Local Congregation of Baruyen. Now counted among God’s chosen servants, she further expressed, “I am proud to be a member of the true Church. I have now the right to render [true] services and worship of Him.”

Josephine’s son, Jhune, received baptism together with her. He vowed, “I will cherish this divine election that God has given me and will remain steadfast in the faith inside the Iglesia Ni Cristo [Church Of Christ] until the end.”

The Ecclesiastical District of Laoag City is under the supervision of Brother Eugene Corpuz Jr., the district supervising minister. In an interview, he expressed, “We thank the Lord God for giving the district victories and successes in all Church endeavors, especially in the works of propagation. We promise to remain united with the Church Administration in giving glory to our Almighty God.” — With reports from Nacell Jane Lucas and INC News Section
