Because of the active participation of the brethren in the intensified evangelization of the pure gospel, and with God’s mercy, more and more people are joining the Church Of Christ in the Visayas region of the Philippines where baptisms were held recently.

In the Leyte East Ecclesiastical District, two simultaneous baptisms were held on March 26, 2021. The district supervising minister, Brother Eraño Fabella, and the assistant district supervising minister, Brother Albert Tolentino, officiated the sacred occasions in the houses of worship of the local congregations of Saint Bernard and Palo, respectively.

During the study of God’s words prior to the actual baptism, the officiating ministers highlighted the great advantage of being a member of the Church Of Christ. Not only are his services accepted by God, but most importantly, has the right to attain salvation on the Second Advent of the Lord Jesus Christ, they said citing the Bible.

Meanwhile, the Ecclesiastical District of Negros del Norte conducted two consecutive baptisms held at the Guihulngan Local Congregation’s house of worship.

Brother Raul Gonzales, assistant district supervising minister, led the holy baptism on March 26, while the district supervising minister, Brother Renato Callejo, officiated the sacred occasion on March 28.

During the preaching of God’s words before the baptism proper, it was emphasized to the baptismal candidates the importance of true baptism in one’s life—to receive the forgiveness of sins and the promise of salvation as true disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Health and safety protocols were strictly followed by everyone in attendance all throughout the occasions. — With reports from INC News Section
