Teenagers from the Ecclesiastical District of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte in the Philippines enjoyed meaningful bonding moment with one another through the virtual Binhi Friendship Day on February 20, 2021.
The attendees watched performances presented by their fellow youth members and participated in educational games.
“We are joyful that we are able to gather and enjoy each other’s company, we saw the talent of our fellow youth and we gained new friends through this online activity,” said Czarlaine Miguel, a Children’s Worship Service (CWS) officer.
Aiming to safeguard the youth from various situations that can cause negative emotions such as depression, the district leadership continues to guide the young brethren and creates a bridge to strengthen the brethren’s bond as brothers and sisters in the faith.
“Despite this pandemic, we were able to conduct this activity. Although it is different from before that the youth members physically gather in one venue, but through this technology, they met one another and these programs were implemented to edify and make the teens closer even if they are in their respective local congregations,” Brother Jojo Vicente, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, said. — With reports from INC News Section
