Through a seminar the leadership of the Christian Brotherhood International in the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia organized, the CBI members learned more about the value of being thrifty and financially prudent.

Dubbed “Importance of Saving,” the online seminar for the secondary and tertiary education students, which was held on November 22, 2022, featured Stephany Seah, a financial advisor based in Malaysia, as the resource speaker.

Seah taught the importance of differentiating between a person’s wants and needs. Underscoring that “saving up should be a habit,” she discussed what things to consider in making a realistic saving goal and then developing a saving plan applicable to them.

“It is a great opportunity to learn how to save money through the seminar. The speaker explained the topic well and I was convinced to cultivate my own student-friendly savings habit,” Dulce Santia, one of the attendees, said.

The seminar concluded with the attendees’ receiving a brief but timely message from the Bible delivered by Brother John Romanillos, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer. — With reports from INC News Section
