The “INCTV Interactive Roadshow”, a participant-oriented event hosted by the Christian Era Broadcasting Service International, Inc. (CEBSI), the religious broadcast arm of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), made a stop at the EVM Convention Center (EVMCC), Quezon City, Philippines, on August 28, 2022.
Held several times a year since 2019 in various places to promote the religious programs aired on INCTV, the Interactive Roadshow has been a venue for brethren to gather and bond and, at the same time, discover the “nuts and bolts” of airing a TV program.
The interactive event, which was held at the lobby of the EVMCC, featured several activity booths that provided the attendees, brethren from various local congregations in Metro Manila, a chance to gain more knowledge about how the shows in INCTV are produced. One of the booths that drew the most number of visitors was that of the INC News team where attendees got to experience what it is like to report a Church activity live on TV.
“The chance to do a live report of an activity in the Church was something I was found thrilling. I’m naturally shy but the event helped me to open up. It made me realize that reporting an event in the Church is so important. Also, it’s a great way to be able to spread news about the Church,” said Michael Samir Shohdy from the Local Congregation of Templo Central.
Rodevy Mislang, from the Local Congregation of Pilot in Quezon City, shared what she had most enjoyed by, “It’s the photo booth for me. It allowed me to capture good memories with other brethren and post them on my social media to help promote the shows as well.”
Her fellow KADIWA member from the same congregation, Lizette Jaime, expressed, “The activity [Interactive Roadshow] was fun and educational. It also served as a bonding activity with my fellow Church officers.”
“I’d like to thank the Church Administration for conducting this activity,” said Cariza Magpantay from the Paco Congregation, Ecclesiastical District of Manila. “It was an effective way to all the more support the shows that we have in the Church which inspire us in fulfilling our duties and sharing our faith.” — With reports from INC News Section
