“It is God’s desire, according to the Bible, that people must know the truth to attain salvation come Judgment Day,” said Brother Eric Zaratan, Naga City, Camarines Sur Ecclesiastical District supervising minister.
As a result of the combined efforts of the brethren in helping out in the intensified work of propagation, more people were added to the district through the recently held baptism on November 7, 2021.
Gathered inside the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Naga City, the candidates for baptism received further biblical instructions before the baptismal proper. Through the Bible, Brother Zaratan taught them that being a member of the true Church Of Christ is a great blessing and privilege from God because through it can serve the true God and have the hope of receiving eternal life in the Holy City come Judgment Day.
When I first heard proven through the Bible [that the Lord Jesus Christ is not God], I became curious to know more about the truth written in the Bible, because in my former religion He is recognized as God,” said Marianne Alexis Paño, a newly baptized member. Now that she is a full-fledged Church member, she promised, “I will be active in my services to God and accept a Church duty because I want to be saved.”
Another newly baptized member, Gregoria Navales, also shared why she joined the Church Of Chirst. “Because of the Bible-based teachings taught to me, I know that I am in the true religion. I am grateful because I am now a member of the Church Of Christ. I have learned the true words of God that will lead me to salvation,” she said.
Found in Bicol region, Philippines, the Naga City, Camarines Sur District is one of the two districts in the province and supervises 82 local congregations, 14 group worship services, and 10 extensions. — With reports from INC News Section
