“The brethren in Kabacan continue to prove their unity to the Church Administration by participating in this activity. It doesn’t only give brethren a chance to share time with each other but also is a good form of exercise,” observed, Brother Del Dominic Baclayon, resident minister, about the recent activity in their local congregation.
On October 15, 2021, KADIWA and Binhi members from the Local Congregation of Kabacan, as well as those in Lower Paatan Extension, both in the Ecclesiastical District of Cotabato North, conducted a fun cycling activity.
Before the day of the activity, the officers in the two Christian Family Organizations (CFO) mapped out the route for the cycling enthusiasts to take. They decided to head to Barangay Cuyapon, where some brethren enlisted in Kabacan also reside.
Participants in the activity first gathered at the local congregation’s house of worship compound. There, they were reminded of road safety and other protocols to ensure a smooth and enjoyable ride. Afterwards, they pedaled their way to the community of Cuyapon, ten kilometers away.
“During the activity, we had brethren on motorcycles escorted us to ensure safety for both the riders and the people we passed by. We also made sure that health and safety protocols were observed,” said Archie Remonde, local congregation KADIWA president. — With reports from INC News Section
