In compliance with God’s commands of loving one’s fellowmen and to spread the true faith, the Ecclesiastical District of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental conducted an outreach-evangelical mission in Cagayancillo Island, almost 130 kilometers off Negros Island, Philippines.

On June 27, 2022, a delegation of ministers and brethren, led by the district supervising minister, Brother Amando Bariring Jr., traveled from the port of Cauayan for 13 hours to reach the island. Upon arriving, the brethren invited the residents to the activity, which was held at the covered court of the Atanasio A. Tapalla Minipark, in the heart of the island.

During the evangelical mission, Brother Lemuel Solano, minister of the gospel, preached a Bible-based lesson concerning the importance of the true Church Of Christ in attaining salvation on Judgment Day.

Afterwards, the Aid to Humanity event was held during which the ministers, ministerial workers, and Church officers handed out care packages consisting of rice and other canned goods.

Abner Dondahali, a seaweed farmer, expressed gratefulness to the Church Of Christ for coming into the island and extending a helping hand because according to him, “Life here [in the island] is really hard. My earnings are only enough to buy some coffee and sugar.” When asked about the evangelical mission, he continued, “The teachings in the Church Of Christ are enlightening. I hope they will continue to teach us the words of God written in the Bible.” — With reports from INC News Section
