The KADIWA members from the Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan commemorated the 47th founding anniversary of their Christian Family Organization (CFO) through a special gathering followed by a meet-and-greet activity.
Brother Manny Benedicto, district supervising minister, officiated the special gathering held on November 29, 2020. In his Bible-based homily, he advised the KADIWA members to stay strong in the faith no matter what happens.
“Receiving God’s words are much needed nowadays, especially by young members of the Church. These will guide their faith towards perfection and maturity,” he said in an interview afterwards.
The Local Congregation of Kawasaki served as the main site of the activity. Brethren from other places around the district joined through video streaming, realizing the significance of the occasion to their spiritual life.
Karin Sawada, KADIWA member, said, “Even though there is a pandemic, it does not deter the active participation of the brethren. Receiving God’s words is essential to us in these trying times.”
Right after the special gathering, the brethren socialized online to build up their bond as brothers and sisters in Christ.
They engaged in online games and together watched instructional presentations on blogging, traveling, music, sports, movies, baking, and the like.
Brethren are thankful to the Lord God for a blessed day. They promised that they will always be steadfast in their faith and never let go of the divine election come what may. ― With reports from INC News Section
