Through a meet-and-greet activity, the KADIWA members from the Ecclesiastical Districts of British Columbia, Calgary, and Edmonton got the chance to get together via videoconferencing on November 15, 2020.

Meeting people and making new friends have not been easy during this time of pandemic. That is why the activity had been such a delight for the members of the said organization considering that traveling from British Columbia to Calgary, would take almost 1000 kilometers or an air travel distance of more than 600 miles. Add to that an additional 300 kilometers to reach Edmonton. However, this did not deter the members and other brethren from various local congregations of the Church.

Elijah Dilan, a KADIWA member, shared, “The one thing I really like about it is the socializing aspect. Even though brethren are far from each other, from half-way across the world, we still able to interact in socializing activities and games.”

Friendly games like “Canadian trivia” and “Bring me” added excitement to the occasion. Also, part of the activity was putting brethren with the same hobbies and age together in a virtual room so they may know each other and make bonds with one another.

Alyanna Alvarez, a KADIWA member, said, “Despite the happenings in the world, we can connect and make a fun-filled activity to edify and strengthen our faith.” She added, “The activity truly strengthened the bond of the brotherhood in the Church.”

Through these activities, the young brethren from three districts were able to form new friendships and catch up with their friends from other districts, strengthening further the bond of Christian brotherhood among them. ― With reports from INC News Section
