To familiarize the brethren with basic first-aid skills that are crucial especially in times of emergencies, the KADIWA leadership from the Local Congregation of Wanchai, in the Ecclesiastical District of Hong Kong conducted a basic first-aid webinar on August 14, 2021.

From the confines of their homes, brethren participated in the activity through videoconferencing. KADIWA officer, Jine Lyka San Jose, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Health, Fitness, and Lifestyle Management, served as the resource speaker. She shared with the attendees practical knowledge on varied topics such as how to treat burns and also first-aid for choking victims. She also shared safety tips and reminders.

“The purpose of the activity is to give knowledge to youth members about basic first aid that can be used in everyday life and for their safety as well,” said Jine Lyka.

The attendees were grateful to the Church Administration for the activity. They said that what they learned is beneficial so they can ensure their safety, and that of their loved ones, in times of emergencies. ― With reports from INC News Section
