To help KADIWA members from the Local Congregation of Macau, Ecclesiastical District of Macau learn practical approaches in solving day-to-day problems, a seminar was held for them on June 13, 2022. Harvey Parto, head deacon, served as the resource speaker.

Guided by a seminar material that the Christian Family Organization (CFO) leadership prepared beforehand, Parto encouraged the attendees to develop a positive attitude or a sense of optimism when facing difficult scenarios and hindrances. He shared with them the importance of understanding the problem as well as its cause, having a range of alternatives when looking for a solution, among others.

More importantly, Parto highlighted the importance of prayer. He reminded the attendees that as true servants of God, they are not only to do their best to achieve whatever good thing they aspire in life but they should also trust completely in God. “The greater the problem, the more we should pray. No matter how serious the problem is, we should be brave, holding on to God’s promised help,” he said.

“Being far from my loved ones due to my job, this seminar is not only captivating but offers great support. I’ve learned a lot. I will apply these,” Armella Veleña, a choir member, said.

During the seminar, attendees were encouraged to speak about their coping mechanisms. — With reports from INC News Section
