The Kalumsing Group Worship Service (GWS) held its inaugural worship service on December 8, 2021.
Kalumsing is a barangay in the Municipality of San Emilio, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. The new GWS was established through the Santiago Local Congregation’s initiative. The same congregation was also able to establish two extensions in the past two years: Langcuas (2019) and Sibsibbu Extension (2020).
Ilocos Sur Ecclesiastical District supervising minister Brother Manuel Santos officiated at the said inaugural worship service. In his Bible-based homily, he exhorted the brethren to place their hope to the Lord God and live a holy way of life by following His commands, one of which is to always worship Him inside the house of worship.
“I am overjoyed to reach this day that the first worship service was conducted here in Kalumsing. We will further intensify our services to God, such as in helping in the work of propagation, for many more people to be called in the Church in this place,” Henry Vinluan, choir leader, said.
The brethren from Kalumsing thanked God and praised Him for blessing them with a new place of worship and promised to always serve and worship the Father in heaven.
“Now the brethren can all the more uphold their worship services to God, many will be able to return to God and be called in the Church,” said Brother Gary Gulbin, district Light of Salvation overseer. — With reports from INC News Section
