When asked what was their favorite thing to do, the Iglesia Ni Cristo children from the Stavanger Group Worship Service, Norway, Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe happily and simultaneously said, “Playing!”

And it was with their playthings that the kids were taught to declutter and tidy up. The activity, held via videoconferencing on December 25, 2021, was the “Children’s Worship Service (CWS) Decluttering Activity.” It was spearheaded by the CWS officers.

At the beginning of the activity, the officers gave the children time to play with their toys. Most kids played with their Lego and toy cars. Some spent the time drawing with crayons. Other kids showed their favorite stuffed toys.

Soon after, the CWS officers announced to the children that playtime was over and that they must then declutter within a given time. And as if they were having a race, all the children eagerly went on to put their playthings in their proper places. They finished decluttering before the allotted time ran out.

“Through this activity, I was able to learn to tidy up the toys I played with. Instead of my parents doing those things, I can be of help to them,” said Roan Mallare.

Even though they were at the confines of their respective homes due to the pandemic, both the CWS officers and members enjoyed bonding with each other through the activity. — With reports from INC News Section
