Young members from the Local Congregation of Hertfordshire, England in the Ecclesiastical District of United Kingdom participated in an online coin bank making activity on January 17, 2021. They used recycled materials in making personalized coin bank.

The Children’s Worship Service (CWS) congregation officers spearheaded the activity. They taught the kids about the importance of saving money. The activity also taught the young members of taking care of the environment by recycling materials instead of just disposing them.

A video tutorial on how to recycle materials such as plastic bottles, milk cartons, used glass jars, and other various things at home was shown. After watching the video, the kids began making their own coin banks. With simple materials at home, like papers and stickers, and their imagination, they were able to transform scrap into a new and colorful coin bank.

Through this simple activity launched by the Church Administration, the value of saving and of recycling were reinforced in the children’s minds. ― With reports from INC News Section
