Koronadal City, South Cotabato District holds fire prevention seminar

Delegations of Church officers from various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Koronadal City, South Cotabato attended a seminar on fire prevention held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Banga on November 20, 2021.

“In response to the call of the Church Administration that a seminar on fire prevention be carried out, our district immediately organized this activity,” said Brother Apolinario Seacor, the district supervising minister.

Reino Vista, SCAN district president, served as the keynote speaker. After his lecture wherein he shared practical tips to quickly put out a fire, he carried out a demonstration of how to properly use a fire extinguisher.

The Senior Fire Officer 4 serving in the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) pointed out to the attendees that basic knowledge in firefighting, when promptly and properly applied, goes a long way in saving not just properties but most of all human lives. “Seminars like this is very important to the Church in its entirety, to protect the Church properties, primarily the houses of worship,” he said.

The district supervising minister, Brother Apolinario Seacor, who was present in the activity, said, “We thank God for making instrumental the Church Administration in launching activities like this that brings benefits [to our health] so we can continue with our worship and service of God.”

The Ecclesiastical District of Koronadal City, South Cotabato supervises 35 local congregations, 21 extensions, and one Group Worship Service (GWS). — With reports from INC News Section
