The Ecclesiastical District of La Union in the Philippines dedicated to the Lord God the new house of worship of the Local Congregation of Bail through a special worship service on September 12, 2020.

“The Church members here in our congregation are active in worship services, even if their homes are far from the house of worship and they have to travel a great distance,” Marcelino Arcalas, head deacon, said.

Bail is located in the eastern part of the municipality of Sto. Tomas surrounded by mountains.

Daisy Flores, a Church officer, said, “With the growing number of brethren in our congregation, our former house of worship can no longer accommodate us. So, we held devotional prayers to ask God for a larger house of worship.”

Despite the ongoing pandemic, the Church Of Christ continues to build new houses of worship even if the congregation is in a remote place.

“The brethren were looking forward to the dedication of the new house of worship. From the preparation and up to this day, they are joyful. During the worship service, they did not forget to follow government-implemented safety protocols,” Brother Alexis Lacanaria, resident ministerial worker, narrated.

Brother Ardy Mendoza, district supervising minister, officiated at the worship service.

Brother Jonie Sibalo, assistant district supervising minister, said, “The brethren, especially in this congregation, are inspired with the house of worship dedication.”

Expressing the gratitude of the brethren, Brother Mendoza said, “We thank the Lord God and the Church Administration for giving this congregation a beautiful house of worship. We promise to take care of this holy edifice and dedicate ourselves in worshiping God.” — With reports from INC News Section
