A new house of worship of the Church Of Christ recently rose in Dulangan III, Sitio Kambal Bato, Baco, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. The Church Administration had it built for the Local Congregation of Lantuyan, Ecclesiastical District of Mindoro Oriental.
The concrete house of worship, which can seat 120 worshipers, was dedicated to the Lord God through a special worship service on November 20, 2020.
The local congregation was established on April 10, 2019 and held its inaugural worship service on May 1, 2019 in a temporary chapel that the brethren built.
It initially had 54 Church members but because of their enthusiastic efforts in the Church’s work of propagation, their number began—and continues—to grow. Until they needed a bigger place of worship.
“We requested to the Church Administration that we may have a new house of worship and our request was granted,” Rolando Barro, one of the brethren in the congregation, said.
The construction of the house of worship started on October 26, 2019, but incurred slight delay due to the pandemic. It was completed last November.
Expressing the happiness the brethren from Lantuyan felt, Brother Jerome Matre, resident ministerial worker, said, “This house of worship is important for us, for in here we hold our worship services to God and our prayers for the things we need in this life.”
Brother Nepthalie Panes, district supervising minister, led the dedication worship service. “We thank first the Lord God and also the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for giving our district a beautiful and new house of worship. We promise, especially the brethren in this congregation, that we will all the more be fervent in our services to God and continue to put our hope in the grace that will be ours,” he said. — With reports from INC News Section
