Brethren from the Local Congregation of Lemery, in the Ecclesiastical District of Iloilo North in the Philippines, expressed jubilation as the Church Administration recently approved the establishment of a group worship service (GWS) in Brgy. Velasco, about four kilometers away from the town proper.

“When the brethren from Brgy. Velasco learned that a GWS was being planned for their place, they, together with other brethren from the neighboring villages, were excited,” said Brother Raynold Leonidas, resident ministerial worker. “We are thankful to the Lord God that through the Church Administration brethren here in Velasco can now hold worship services closer to their homes.”

The inaugural worship service of the Velasco GWS, which was led by the district supervising minister, Brother Abner Flores, was held on January 7, 2023. During the study of God’s words, Brother Flores underscored how pleasing it is to God when His children completely obey His teachings.

As she pondered on the lesson, Gilda Arostique, a deaconess, said, “It’s my happiness to fulfill the Lord’s commands taught by the Church Administration. I’ll continue to share my faith to my loved ones and friends so they, too, will know the truth written in the Bible.”

In an interview, Brother Flores assured, “Led by the ministers and ministerial workers, all the brethren in the district are united with Brother Eduardo Manalo in all the endeavors of the Church. They will remain firm in their conviction to be active in their services to God.” — With reports from INC News Section
