The representatives from the Liloan Cluster of local congregations, Med Andrew and Hazael Ana Masagca, from the Local Congregation of Liloan won the “Mr. and Mrs. Chef” finals of the Ecclesiastical District of Cebu City, Cebu. They bested the couples representing the clusters of Pardo, Cebu City, Motorpool, and Mountain View.

The finals of the cooking tilt was held at The Family Park in Brgy. Talamban, Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines on October 9, 2022.

Like the other contestants, the couple were tasked to prepare a three-course meal. The criteria for judging were originality and creativity, texture and color, cooking techniques, recipe ingredients, and cleanliness.

The Masagcas prepared Pa Muchin (Korean Salad) for appetizer, Sizzling Squid for their main dish, and Candied Fruits for dessert.

“We love cooking for it’s also a bonding moment for me and my wife,” Med Andrew said. “In this activity, we also became closer with other couples. We were able to exchange tips and techniques in cooking with them.” — With reports from INC News Section
