With rejoicing and thankful hearts, the members of the Local Congregation of Lob-o, offered praises to God on August 12, 2022 during the special worship service for the dedication to Him of their new house worship.

Brother Fermin Pacquiao, the district supervising minister of the Nueva Vizcaya District, officiated at the sacred gathering. In his Bible-based sermon, he pointed out the great relevance of the house of worship in the lives of God’s elect, that is, the Church Of Christ members.

In an interview, the district minister explained, “Constructing houses of worship is in obedience to God’s commandment. That’s why even though there’s a widespread poverty, the Church Administration, led by Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, continues to uphold this holy endeavor for the sake of the spiritual welfare of the brethren.”

The new house of worship has a 120-seating capacity and is equipped with a videoconferencing system, CCTV installation, and a Johannus organ. It is situated in Sitio Tangadon, Lob-o, Mappit Kiangan, Ifugao, Philippines.

“Here, in the house of worship, I can say my prayers to God. He promised that this is where He will listen to our pleadings. This is also the place where we can render our thanksgiving and worship of Him,” averred Carol Winnan, a deaconess.

Rodel Quintinita, a choir member, joyfully said, “It’s a great blessing to be part of this momentous occasion where I was able to perform my duty. I promise to help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our new chapel.”

On behalf of the brethren, Baltazar Dammit, head deacon, expressed their gratefulness: “We wholeheartedly thank our Lord God because even in the midst of the pandemic, He granted us a beautiful house of worship.” — With reports from INC News Section and Leona Hidalgo
