The brethren residing in Mill Woods, Alberta and neighboring areas have been organized into a local congregation whose official establishment they marked during the inaugural worship service on October 23, 2021.

They used to attend the worship services either with the local congregations of Eastwood or Ellerslie but now have a place of worship closer to their homes; at 4415 36 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6L 3R9.

“The brethren became closer to the place of worship. They no longer need to travel for hours especially during winter,” said Brother Napoleon Manalo, resident minister. “No matter what happens, we will continue to serve God and fulfill our respective duties.”

The holy gathering was officiated by the Edmonton Ecclesiastical District supervising minister, Brother Voltaire Tamisin. In his homily based on God’s words written in the Bible, he reminded everyone in attendance, that as members of the true Church they must never waver in their worship and services of God.

Afterwards, Brother Napoleon Manalo administered the oath-taking of the officers who would make up the Mill Woods Congregation’s leadership.

“We are so happy and excited, not only me but the whole congregation. We had devotional prayers every night, [dedicated] for its establishment. And finally, through the approval of our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, we are now able to worship in this place,” said Isagani Zoreta, a newly appointed head deacon.

The Ecclesiastical District of Edmonton now supervises 11 local congregations, and 12 Group Worship Services (GWS). — With reports from INC News Section
