Aiming not only to bolster the enthusiasm and spiritual fervor of the brethren who are mostly Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Macau but to also further strengthen family ties, an online seminar dubbed “Strengthening Family Relationships through Faith” was held in the Ecclesiastical District of Macau on August 8, 2021.
While some brethren gathered at the place of worship of the Local Congregation of Macau, which served as the main site of the activity, more families in the district attended the said activity from their homes through videoconferencing.
During the seminar, Buklod officers Cris Oasan and Jovel Mendador discussed the structure and functions of the CFO. They reminded the attendees of the purpose of the Church Administration in establishing the Christian Family Organizations (CFO), which is to guide the Christian family to spiritual maturity and lead them towards the perfection of their faith. As part of the activity, Brother Ruel San Gil, the resident minister of Macau, gave the attendees words of encouragement based on the words of God written in the Bible.
Marites Isip, Buklod officer, shared her experiences. She said, “In times of trials and difficulties, I always make the Lord God my priority. Through fervent prayers, I always put my trust in Him. Even for my family, God is in the center of our lives for we know that He will save and protect us from all anxieties and dangers.”
Brethren who truly miss their loved ones were very thankful to the Church Administration for such activity that gave them courage and strong faith to face life’s challenges. ― With reports from INC News Section
