Resilient amid calamities and the pandemic crisis, Church Of Christ members from the Local Congregation of Magrafil, Ecclesiastical District of Cagayan East in the Philippines steadfastly serve and worship the Lord God.

On December 18, 2020, they rededicated to Him their newly renovated house of worship. Brother Augusto Galapon, district supervising minister, officiated at the holy occasion.

From the Bible, he preached the importance of the house of worship, where God’s Name and glory dwells, to the lives of His true servants. It is where they fulfill their duty to give Him praise and in turn receive His spiritual blessings. He reminded them that the house of prayer is also where they can go to take refuge in God, especially in time of adversities.

The refurbished house of worship is in Barangay Magrafil, Municipality of Gonzaga, more than 60 kilometers from the district office in Aparri town. Located 671.5 meters above sea level at the feet of Mount Cagua, it has the highest elevation among the houses of worship in Cagayan province.

Brethren from neighboring congregations, though they have to cross muddy and rough roads, also attended the momentous and blessed occasion.

Thankful, Laniley Bumiltac, deaconess, said, “We thank the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for having gifted us this beautiful house of worship despite our being in a remote area. We shall take good care of this.”

Robert Estuesta, deacon, said, “We will invite our loved ones, friends, and acquaintances who are nonmembers so that they too will know the truth in God’s words.”

On behalf of the congregation, Brother Galapon said, “We shall continue to unite with and submit to the Church Administration as we conduct our active service to the Almighty God.” — With reports from INC News Section
