On January 23, 2022, the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia held the KADIWA Convention 2022 via videoconferencing. The activity was attended by the organization’s members from various local congregations.

During the event, the brethren discussed projects lined up this year and also discussed ways to make these activities exciting for the members, and most of all, beneficial for their spiritual maturity.

“The event was amazing and I was honored to be a part of the program. This kind of activity surely helps the brethren to be more active in our KADIWA activities and encourages them to accept a Church office. Seeing real life examples of brethren who have a lot of Church duties, yet, they are still able to fulfill them, inspires us to also fulfill our duties with the help of our Lord God,” Edrienne Ching, a KADIWA secretary, said.

The KADIWA members were joyful to see their fellow single members and gained new friends through the activity. They also watched presentations of Iglesia Ni Cristo original music.

“I believe that this activity also helped fight anxiety. Many, if not all, are once again working or studying from home, so there is lack of interpersonal communication. However since we were able to see and hear each other through this activity while safeguarding our health, we foster the brotherhood and that is important nowadays,” Brother Earl-Bert Parco, a ministerial worker, said.

On behalf of the KADIWA in the district, Brother Parco added that they will “continue to pursue activities like this and encourage brethren throughout our district to actively get themselves involved, not only for the bond of brotherhood but also for the unity with the Church Administration.” — With reports from INC News Section
