With the continued increase in the number of Church Of Christ members in Mambalayong who are listed with the Local Congregation of Naga, Ecclesiastical District of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, the Church Administration approved in February 2021 that they be organized as an extension.

The approval came with a new chapel for them in which they held the Mambalayong Extension’s inaugural worship service on October 14, 2021.

Brother Dante Mujar, district supervising minister, officiated at the holy gathering. Through a Bible-based lesson, he reminded the brethren how to properly face tribulations and hardships in life as they are counted among God’s people in these last days.

“We happily thank our Lord God and the Church Administration because from this day there will be a worship service in Mambalayong Extension,” Brother Mujar said. “Through God’s mercy, the brethren will no longer have to travel far to attend worship service, this is important for them to uphold their services to Him. This is the fulfillment of God’s blessings to His nation, it continues to triumph despite difficult situations,” he added.

Before the establishment of the extension in Sitio Mambalayong, Brgy. Mahalang, Himamaylan, Negros Occidental, Philippines, the brethren living there used to travel almost 20 kilometers to attend worship services with the Naga Congregation.

On behalf of the brethren, Brother Edmund Montero, resident minister, said, “We promise to dedicate ourselves in our worship services to God. We all the more need the house of worship where we can pray to our Lord God, especially in this time of the pandemic. We promise not to stop in uniting with the Church Administration in all the intensified works of the Church, for the glory of God.” — With reports from INC News Section
