Making sure that the aid would reach every Iglesia Ni Cristo household in this time of pandemic, Church officers and brethren from the Local Congregation of Mangga, Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga North handed out food packs not only to their fellow Church members but to nonmembers as well.
In response to the directive of the Church Administration through the district supervising minister, Brother Joel F. Federeso Sr., the first distribution of aid was held on March 23, 2020. Since then, the local congregation has held the socio-civic activity weekly. Spearheaded by the resident minister, Brother Christopher Gorospe, the brethren gave food packs which contain rice, canned goods, and noodles.
With physical distancing and other safety measures observed, brethren-volunteers distributed the food packs house-to-house. On the sixth and seventh wave of the distribution, some Church members even donated various types of vegetables and chicken meat.
The brethren from the Mangga Congregation expressed their gratitude to God and the Church Adminstration for the continuous aid that they are receiving. They said that they will continue to unite with the whole Church in praying to God that may He end the pandemic, in order also for them to continue on performing their Church duties inside the house of worship. As the fight against Covid-19 continues, the Church Administration, led by the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, continuously takes care not only of the spiritual needs but also the material needs of the Church members. — With reports from INC News Section
