Even with the entire province of Davao Oriental included among those placed under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), the Ecclesiastical District of Davao Oriental, Philippines dedicated to the Lord God the new house of worship for the Local Congregation of Manikling 2 through a special worship service on June 7, 2021.

Brother Wilfred Sacayanan, district supervising minister, led the dedication service. He emphasized, through the Bible, the importance of the house of worship to the members of the Church Of Christ.

Health and safety protocols were strictly observed all throughout the sacred occasion.

“Our district, especially this local congregation, received a great blessing from our Lord God, through the Church Administration, with this new house of worship. This is important to the spiritual life of Church members,” Brother Sacayanan said. “Here, they receive the words of God that will further strengthen their hope in the grace that will come. We will love and take care of this holy edifice and we will remain active in serving God and in our spiritual fervor in uniting with the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo.”

The construction of the new house of worship started during the pandemic. Despite the difficulties, through the help of God and the prayers of the brethren, the sacred edifice was completed.

“We, in the local congregation, thank the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for the new house of worship, we will not forsake this [holy place] to the best of our ability,” Brother Larry Corisis, resident minister, said.

The new house of worship is situated along National Highway, Manikling, San Isidro, Davao Oriental. — With reports from INC News Section
