Brethren from all local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Manila, in the Philippines, held evangelical missions on May 9, 2023 at respective houses of worship in commemoration of the 137th birth anniversary of Brother Felix Y. Manalo (1886-1963) the day after, on May 10.

Brother Felix Manalo is the man whom members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) firmly believe is God’s Messenger in these last days, sent by God to preach His words written in the Bible in these last days.

“We thank our Lord God for helping us during this sacred occasion, having been able to propagate His words to our fellowmen who are not yet members of the Church,” said Brother Ferdinand Esmao, minister of the gospel.

The evangelical mission at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Punta was officiated at by Brother Rolando A. Esguerra, the minister in charge of the Office of Edification under the INC Secretariat.

In this sacred occasion, the officiating ministers emphasized from the Bible the importance of God’s sending of His messengers in order for His will to be conveyed to mankind.

“I was amazed at the orderliness being practiced in the Church Of Christ, even before I enter the house of worship. Most importantly, I felt the presence of the Lord God during the preaching of His words. I will continue listening to the teachings inside the Church,” said Jessa Virtudis, one of the guests from Local Congregation of Paco.

Renita Navarro, deaconess from Punta Local Congregation, shared her firm conviction: “Many more people need to know God’s truth that will lead to salvation, that is why I will always be of help to the Church Administration in the intensified works of the propagation of God’s words.”

Brother Harold Cariño, ministerial worker currently assigned at the Local Congregation of Paco, declared: “I fully understand the vitality of my duty as God’s co-worker. For this reason, I promise to Him that I will all the more devote my life in performing my sacred duty, for the benefit of my brethren, my fellowmen, and most of all for the glory of our Almighty God.” — With reports from Michaela Brigette Misa and Alexandria Alfonso of INC News Section
