Although far from one another and despite the restrictions due to the pandemic, KADIWA members from the Ecclesiastical Districts of Manitoba, Canada and Milan, Italy socialized with one another through a virtual “Meet and Greet” activity on February 27, 2021.

KADIWA officers in each district prepared the program for the single members’ interaction and online meeting.

“This activity is a fun and interesting way to meet brethren from other parts of the world using modern technology, it’s really a different feeling when you meet someone virtually, but honestly it feels like they are sitting right in front of you,” said Rizzle Muñoz, KADIWA president of Manitoba District.

The participants played educational games and learned fun facts about each other’s country.

“This pandemic has put on a lot of stress on many people, especially on their mental health and I believe meeting new friends and new brethren from other parts of the world help those who are feeling down to uplift their spirits so that they will be able to find joy and peace in their lives and not only that, hopefully when this pandemic is over soon and we are able to travel, we can visit one another and we already know people from different parts of the world,” Rizzle added.

The single members were grateful to God and the Church Administration  for the activity that created new friendships among them and strengthened their bond as brothers and sisters in faith. — With reports from INC News Section
